TL-SG1005P PoE+ Gigabit Switch
TP-Link TL-SG1005POverview
The TP-Link TL-SG1005P is a 5-port Gigabit switch with 4 PoE+ ports. One network cable carries both data and power to IP phones, cameras and Wi-Fi access points, so they need no power adapter of their own.
Up to 30 W on each PoE port, with a 65 W total budget for the four ports: enough for desk phones, cameras and access points.
Plug and play: no setup. Extend Mode reaches devices up to 250 m (820 ft) away, and PoE Auto Recovery restarts a camera or access point that stops responding.
A durable metal case with a silent, fanless design for a desk or a wall.

About the TL-SG1005P PoE+ Switch
Power and data on one cable
Ports 1–4 send power over the network cable to 802.3af/at devices: IP phones, IP cameras and access points work without a power adapter or an outlet nearby.
Reaches further, stays online
Extend Mode carries power and data up to 250 m on ports 1–2, and PoE Auto Recovery reboots a device that drops offline, so nobody has to go and unplug it.
Plug and play, silent
No setup needed. The metal case is fanless and silent and sits on a desk or mounts on a wall.

Specifications from TP-Link for hardware version V6. In Extend Mode ports 1–2 run at 10 Mbps; the actual distance depends on the cable and the power the devices draw.
Customer features
What the switch does for you every day.
One cable per device
- Desk phones, cameras and Wi-Fi access points get power and internet on the same cable.
- No power adapters or outlets needed next to each device.
Set up in a minute
- Plug in the power, connect your devices, done; no settings to change.
- The fifth port connects the switch to your router.
Cameras that stay online
- PoE Auto Recovery restarts a camera or access point that stops responding, by itself.
- Extend Mode reaches a camera at the far end of a building or yard, up to 250 m away.
Quiet and tidy
- No fan, so it is completely silent.
- Small metal case (3.9 × 3.9 in) for a desk, shelf or wall.
Tech features
The details for planning and installing PoE devices.
Power over Ethernet
- IEEE 802.3af (PoE) and 802.3at (PoE+) on ports 1–4.
- Up to 30 W per port; 65 W total budget for the four ports.
- Detects each device and supplies the power it needs; non-PoE devices are safe to connect.
Power management
- When the total goes over 65 W, power to the lower-priority port is cut so the higher-priority ports keep running.
- 53.5 VDC / 1.31 A external power adapter.
Extend Mode
- Switch on the back panel; applies to ports 1–2.
- Power and data up to 250 m; those ports run at 10 Mbps while it is on (up to two IP cameras).
- Off (default): 10/100/1000 Mbps on all ports up to 100 m.
PoE Auto Recovery
- Switch on the back panel; covers ports 1–4.
- Detects a powered device that has gone offline or stopped responding and power-cycles it.
Traffic
- 802.1p / DSCP QoS for voice and video.
- IGMP snooping for IPTV and multicast.
- 802.3x flow control; store-and-forward; 10 Gbps switching capacity, 7.44 Mpps.
